
Harvey's professional career started as comedian. Harvey began his journey performing as a comedian during the 80s. He hosted Showtime at the Apollo, as well as The Steve Harvey Show on The WB. In the wake of his appearance on Kings of Comedy Tour's The Original the Kings of Comedy he was a guest for the first time in The Original Kings of Comedy. His last stand-up performance was in 2012. Harvey was host of the Family Feud host since 2010 and the Celebrity Family Feud host ever since. Harvey is also host on Little Big Shots, Little Big Shots Forever Young and Steve Harvey's Funderdome. As an author, he has published four books, including his bestseller Act Like a Lady, Consider Like a Man, which came out in March 2009. Steve Harvey Global was Harvey's entertainment company. It was the home of East 112 productions as well as other ventures. Harvey launched Family Feud in Africa and was a shareholder in Anthem Sports and Entertainment in the HDNet acquisition. Marjorie Harvey and Steve Harvey are co-founders of the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation. The non-profit foundation focuses on the development of young people. Harvey has received seven Daytime Emmy Awards, two Marconi Award winners, and fourteen NAACP Image Award Winners in several categories.
